South Wabasca Lake is in north-central Alberta near the community of Wabasca and is part of the Wabasca River/lake system. Regulations (subarea NB3) vary by portion: the portion north (includes the channel of the Wabasca River) and the portion south and west are open June 1 to Mar 1, bait is allowed, and limits are walleye 1 over 50 cm, northern pike 1 over 75 cm, yellow perch 15, burbot 10; lake whitefish is 10 in the northern portion but 0 in the south/west portion. The remainder of the lake is open May 15 to Mar 31 with bait allowed and the same species limits (walleye 1 over 50 cm, northern pike 1 over 75 cm, yellow perch 15, burbot 10) and lake whitefish 0.
