North Wabasca Lake

North Wabasca Lake is a lake in northern Alberta near the community of Wabasca (Wabasca‑Desmarais), known for walleye and northern pike fishing. Regulations vary by portion: the area south of a line drawn from the northern boundary of Wabasca Reserve 166b in NW 35-80-26-W4 to the point of land in the east half of NE 31-80-25-W4 (including the mouth of the Willow River and the Wabasca River channel) is open June 1 to March 1, while the remainder of the lake is open May 15 to March 31; bait is allowed in both areas. Species limits for both areas are: walleye — 1 over 50 cm; northern pike — 1 over 75 cm; yellow perch — 15 fish; burbot — 10 fish; lake whitefish — 10 fish.
