Lesser Slave River is the mainstem and tributary system that feeds Lesser Slave Lake in north‑central Alberta, located in subarea NB2 near the town of Slave Lake; it includes tributaries such as Driftpile River, Swan River, Assineau River, Marten River and Sawridge Creek. Open June 1 to Oct. 31; bait allowed. Species limits: walleye — 1 fish 45–50 cm; northern pike — 0 fish (no harvest permitted); yellow perch — 15 fish; mountain whitefish — 5 (over 30 cm); burbot — 10 fish; goldeye — 10 fish.
