A diversion canal section of the waterbody is closed year‑round; general fishing is open May 15 to Oct 31 and Dec 11 to Mar 31, and bait is allowed (bait fish not permitted). Species limits: walleye — 1 fish 45–50 cm; northern pike — no retention (0); yellow perch — 5 fish; lake whitefish — 3 fish; burbot — 2 fish (burbot retention is 0 from Feb 1 to Mar 31).
