Birch Creek

Birch Creek is a stream in northeastern Alberta (Subarea NB4), roughly between Lac La Biche and Fort McMurray; access is generally remote and it is managed under NB4 regulations. Open June 1 to Oct 31 with bait allowed; walleye retention is prohibited (0), yellow perch limit 15 fish, burbot 10 fish, lake whitefish 10 fish, and northern pike rules vary—one regulation indicates 3 fish over 63 cm beyond 10 km of Christina Lake while other reaches show pike retention closed.
