Bighorn River is a stream in west-central Alberta near Nordegg; regulations differ for mainstem and tributaries upstream and downstream of Crescent Falls. Open June 16–Aug 31 (bait ban): upstream and downstream sections have a daily limit of 2 trout total; cutthroat trout may only be kept if over 30 cm, and downstream of Crescent Falls there is a mountain whitefish limit of 5, only over 30 cm. Open Sept 1–Oct 31 (bait ban): trout retention is prohibited (0 trout) in both sections and mountain whitefish retention downstream is closed (0 fish).
